Under Boston · STOP 09 · Dewey Square

The Dewey Square mural wall is 70 by 76 feet of highway air intake.

The seven-story wall in Dewey Square gets a new mural every year or two, because nobody needs a window in it. Behind the paint is a room that only holds air for the highway tunnel underneath. Since 2012 its blank 70-by-76-foot face has been a canvas. Go see what's on it this year.

This is stop 9 of Under Boston. Walk it - any two stops are free.
